OMGOSH Amazing customer service & Incredible results!!! Linda the owner is an expert & a perfectionist where it’s needed. She did my IPL , which was my first treatment there over a year ago and I couldn’t believe the results. My brown spots I had for years were all gone. She also did filler & Botox, which looked great with no black & blues. She really cares about her clients & wants us to be happy. Thena is amazing too! She did my last Botox treatment & filler & I had great results. Being a business owner myself, I can’t say enough about the team here at Hayes Valley Medical. From the welcoming Sheila, to Thena and especially Linda Behla the owner, each and every one of them listens to you, takes their time and treats you like an individual. There is a very personal touch at this office that you don’t get anywhere else. I’ve had some unsavory experiences at other places where they treat you like a number, but here you get all the attention that something as important as your face, body and skin deserves. And yes, I have to agree with the others, Linda is an absolute expert with aesthetics and she has such a detailed eye. She really knows how to achieve the look that you are going for, keeping it natural all the way. My Mother came to visit from Australia never having had anything done before and had IPL with Linda for her brown spots. She was over the moon with the results and her skin was glowing. I’ve been to both offices, in the city and Larkspur and both have ample parking and are easily located. 5 Stars all the way for this team. Linda Behla is amazing! I have lived in many different cities with many experienced nurse or doctor injectors and Linda is top notch. She looks at the entire face, not just the forehead or cheekbones, to provide a comprehensive plan for fillers, Botox, etc.
I had never had filler before and I felt totally comfortable with Linda. She let me know exactly what to expect and my results were perfect – looking natural and not overdone at all.
My favorite thing about Linda is she personable and warm and then will immediately switch to the task at hand, examining my face, asking questions, and taking notes on her iPad. She is meticulous and professional and offers great advice.

They blow all of the competition away. And I should know: I’ve tried every single medical esthetics provider in the greater Bay Area.
From the moment you walk into Hayes Valley Medical Esthetics, you can see it is truly a cut above the rest. Located in a historic landmark, the Rube Goldberg building, the spa is gorgeous — the chandelier is a really nice touch. It is also elegant in moderation, unlike others in the city where the decor seems to be overcompensating for quality of care.
The staff are extremely knowledgeable about skincare and health, taking a genuine interest in their clients’ well being. They make you feel pampered and luxurious while you receive state-of-the-art medical treatments. And you can tell all the clients feel that way — they actually look younger going out than they did when they came in.
They have honestly taken years — make that decades — off my face, and more recently they have been taking inches off my waist and even under my chin.
Every time I walk out of HVME, I literally feel prettier and slimmer than when I walked in there — even if I’ve just had a procedure that involves some healing time. And I am able to see compelling before-and-afters just from sitting in the waiting area there. HVME is by far the best in the Bay Area!

I live on the east coast and had been researching Ulthera for several months, and decided to invest in this amazing, non-invasive treatment with Linda Behla at Hayes Valley Medical Esthetics during a trip out west last fall. I based my decision on her many great reviews both at Hayes Valley Medical and at the previous spa where she worked before opening up Hayes Valley (nothing like success to lead to more success!). I was particularly struck by how often people described her as an artist who had a natural touch. Bottom line, they were right and I could not be happier with my results. It has been almost 5 months since my treatment and the before and after pictures clearly show that the treatment is working – my brow is lifted, my jawline has tightened and my neck has smoothed, I’m almost 54 and when people learn I have a 23 and 21 year old son and daughter, they cannot believe it!
I’ve joked with my girlfriends on the east coast that we need to book a long weekend in California so we all can experience a positive and uplifting experience with Linda at Hayes Valley Medical. I will be back for sure!

My skin is glowing!!!! I am a bit jaded when it comes to skin care and spa experiences. I have written about facials for decades and have been fortunate to experience treatments all over the world.
From the moment I walked in the door at Hayes Valley Marin I knew I had found my new skin care home. From the gracious check in and friendly staff to the magnificent esthetician Ali Scherer. She explained why she selected each product and why they worked. What an education! Not only is she articulate– she is passionate about skin care and helping her clients skin look its best! She understood my skin conditions-I have rosacea and mature skin–and prescribed an easy regime that has greatly improved my complexion. Another plus was my relief in not getting a hard sell for products!
For beautiful skin I highly recommend Ali Scherer!

I can’t say enough great things about the entire team at Hayes Valley Med. I’ve had numerous treatments and are they not only talented, they are genuinely fun and sweet to talk to.
They recently added Lori to their team, and I’m always hesitant to let a new person work on my lips (my favorite feature), but she is an INCREDIBLE artist with a keen eye for balance and proportion.
And of course I ALWAYS go to Holly for facials and peels. There really is no better Esthetician out there!

I’ve been seeing Holly for facials since she used to work in Seattle years ago. Now that she’s in San Francisco, I try to get down that way a couple times a year for facials with her.
She knows my skin and always has great recommendations for me. This last time I saw her, she suggested I get a microdermabrasion and micro current facial. I’d never tried either so I decided to go for it.
My skin has never looked better. The microdermabrasion is really cool, it’s like a little vacuum that takes off all the dead surface stuff and leave your skin super soft. Then the micro current is like nothing I’ve ever felt before. She explained that it works to temporarily tighten and tone your muscles in the face, but that it should be done in a series for best results – I was really happy with the one treatment! I’m sad I can’t see her more often, but it’s a good reason for a quick trip down to SF a bit more often.
She also had me meet with Linda, she’s one of the nurses there and is really knowledgeable in all things filler and laser related. Maybe I’ll be able to plan a trip that includes an appointment with her too next time.

A few days following my facial with Nicole, I had a full-face and neck Ulthera treatment from Lana Gleckman. Lana used to work with Ulthera and knows advanced techniques to deliver results. Lana walked me through exactly what to expect, ensured I had the appropriate facial numbing and her delightful personality made the whole experience a good one. And most importantly, FANTASTIC results!

The whole staff there is excellent. I’ve used Dinese, for most of my services. Dinese is really good. She is very professional, knowledgeable, and is excellent at setting expectations. I’ve heard about some botox horror stories. And she does a great job of alleviating those fears, delivering the right amount, and applying it in a non-intrusive manner.

Had an amazing facial today from Blu Morris at Hayes Valley Medical and Esthetics. I had never even heard of Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) Photorejuvenation until Denise recommended it for me at Hayes Valley. But boy am I glad I got this treatment. I used to have freckles that were so pervasive you couldn’t tell which color was my complexion and which was the freckles. Now that the freckles are literally falling off of me, the rest of my facial features have a chance to be seen and appreciated.
Denise is clearly a pro at what she does, and she’s got an amazing bedside manner — I really enjoyed talking with her during the IPL treatment. It was like getting a free beauty advice session thrown in for no charge. I’m definitely coming back for more!

Linda is wonderful. I do not usually write reviews but Shelia and LInda took great care of me and I look younger and vibrant. I do not trust anyone else for injectables. LInda is careful, thoughtful, and respectful of one;s budget. She is conservative, but understands you want bang for your buck and have limited time. I have followed LInda from Marin into SF and I will continue to follow her where ever she practices. Hayes Valley is a beautiful facility and offers all the latest in skin care. I highly recommend the services.
