>>Perfect Derma Peel RX Before and After photos
The Perfect Derma Peel RX treatment includes a take-home Patient Home Care Kit containing all the directions and products you’ll need to care for your skin and maximize your peel results.
Here’s an overview of expectations for the first week after your in-clinic visit.
DAY 1, the day of your treatment. The peel solution should remain on the treated area for at least six hours, during which, you will not wash, touch or apply any products, even sunscreen. You’ll be advised if use of the Post-Peel Moisturizer is appropriate for you to use after six hours. Some patients may be advised to keep the peel solution on into the evening or even overnight.
From here onwards, the Post-Peel Moisturizer may be applies 2-3 times per day as needed to calm any irritation, although best results are achieved if no moisturizer is used until peeling begins around day three. If additional irritation occurs, you may apply a cold compress.
DAY 2, morning. The treated area may appear to be darker and skin may feel tight. After a gentle wash and dry, you’ll use the first Post-Peel Towelette and leave solution on for 50 minutes. Then apply the Mineral Protection SFP 30, and if you desire, your usual make-up.
DAY 2, evening. About an hour before bedtime, you’ll gently wash and dry the treated area. Apply the second Post-Peel Towelette and leave the solution on overnight.
DAYS 3-6. During the peeling process, avoid activities that cause sweating, including saunas, time in the sun, and exercise. Once peeling begins, use the Post-Peel Moisturizer 2-3 times per day. This should relieve skin tightness and control peeling. Your practitioner will have more detailed directions on use of the moisturizer as it varies over ethnicities.
For best results, skin must naturally peel; do not pick or rub the peeling skin as scaring is a possibility.
Morning and evening, cleanse gently, and apply the Post-Peel Moisturizer. The Mineral Protection SPF 30 should be used every two hours during any sun exposure.
DAY 7. Generally, the peeling process is completed, although a few more days of mild sloughing remain. Continue to use the sunscreen.
