Tretinoin Cream and Gel
Often considered the gold standard in anti-aging skin care products, tretinoin is a derivative of Vitamin A, an essential organic compound. This prescription-only medication is used to treat multiple skin conditions such as active acne outbreaks, hyperpigmentation/discoloration, sun damage, and premature aging. Tretinoin penetrates deep into skin to attack acne at the source, while it stimulates collagen production and lighten scars and blemishes by inhibiting the production of pigmentation. The result is clearer, brighter, smoother skin. It contains sodium hyaluronate, which has all the benefits of hyaluronic acid, but with an extra advantage – it’s more easily absorbed than hyaluronic acid and has the ability to bind and hold onto significant amounts of water.
As you begin using tretinoin, or for those with very sensitive skin, .025%, and .05% concentrations can be starting points. As your skin becomes conditioned, you may want to increase the strength. Please ask our expert practitioners if you are not sure about which potency to use.
