The Rejuvenize Peel

This peel may be used once you have established proper tolerability to the SkinMedica Vitalize Peel or with your provider’s consent. The peeling solution contains salicylic acid, lactic acid, resorcinol, panthenol, and isoceteth-20. While each patient’s peel experience differs, side effects with chemical peels are usually mild. Generally, you may expect a few days of a feeling of tightness and a sensation similar to sunburn. Remember that peeling is a sign that the treatment is working.

Be sure to mention any upcoming events with your practitioner during your initial consultation so they can be sure to ensure that you don’t peel for too long. Because your skin will be so new, it will be essential that you commit to a regimen of sun protection after your treatment, whether that is sun avoidance, hats, and/or sunscreen application. Your treatment will only take about 30 minutes to complete, with peeling lasting between three and six days after your session. This treatment is ideal for those with skin types V through VI.
