Injectables
There’s two types of wrinkles – so there’s two types of injectable treatments. Dynamic wrinkles are caused by our muscles as we repeatedly express ourselves, resulting in “crow’s feet” and lines between and above the eyebrows. These are best treated with BOTOX® Cosmetic or Dysport.
Static wrinkles, like marionette lines, are caused by the loss of collagen and fat, and by gravity, rather than by muscle movement. This type of wrinkle is best treated with dermal fillers such as Juvederm Collection of Dermal Fillers or the Restylane Family of Fillers.
Biostimulators increase volume by triggering natural collagen creation. Some do have an immediate filler effect, but most volume is generated over time as collagenisis subtly “fills” the treated area. Bellafill incorporates polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA) beads which are biocompatible with human tissue. It is FDA-approved for the correction of facial wrinkles such as or smile lines, and the correction of moderate to severe facial acne scars. Radiesse provides some volume immediately upon injection from its calcium hydroxylapatite gel matrix. These calcium-based microspheres are clinically proven to stimulate the natural production of collagen over time. Sculptra Aesthetic is one of the longest-lasting “fillers” available though it is as much a collagen inducer as a volumizing filler; its active ingredient is L-poly-lactic acid (PLLA), essentially a biocompatible, biodegradable synthetic sugar molecule.

Intense Pulsed Light
We use the Lumenis M22 IPL Laser as well as the Fraxel DUAL 1550/1927 to treat many skin conditions including acne scars, facial veins, vascular lesions, and rosacea. These unique technologies combines the best intense pulsed light (IPL/photofacial) treatment with the most effective non-ablative fractional lasers.
RF Microneedling
Microneedling with radiofrequency (RF) is a minimally invasive treatment to reduce the appearance of wrinkles, scars, enlarged pores and sagging skin. The addition of RF energy to a microneedling procedure helps to further stimulate the body’s natural collagen and healing processes to reveal firmer, rejuvenated skin. We offer Scarlet RF Microneedling at both our San Francisco and Marin locations, and Agnes Microneedling at our Larkspur, Marin location.
AgeJET Plasma Rejuvenation
The AgeJET device converts nitrogen gas into energy, which is then transferred through the handpiece using controlled, ultra-high radiofrequency to penetrate and heat the tissue of the dermis to stimulate new elastin and collagen growth while removing damaged collagen. AgeJET energy is not “fractionated” to cover only part of the skin. Instead the entire structure of the skin is treated, leading to broad-ranging improvement throughout dermal layers, and to anti-aging of the entire skin.

Facials
Our Power Hour Facial is an excellent option for the man looking to gain the most results in a short period of time. We treat the full face with microdermabrasion or dermaplaning, an enzyme mask, light extractions, and a chemical resurfacing peel—all within an hour appointment.
Regular peel treatments can promote better shaves as well. Peels remove dead skin and reduce the appearance of active acne, leading to a closer shave, plus they reduce in-grown hairs, so less bumps and razor burn.
