What Is Microdermabrasion?
Microdermabrasion uses a special applicator with an abrasive surface to gently “sand away” the outer layer of the skin. Removing these devitalized skin cells from the top layer of your skin creates a smoother skin surface and accelerates healthy dermal production. Microdermabrasion is considered a very safe procedure for most skin types and for any skin color. It is most often used to rejuvenate the complexion of the face and neck, but we can perform the procedure on any area of skin. There is no downtime or recovery period following microdermabrasion. You may benefit from this procedure if you have any of the following skin concerns:
• Fine lines and wrinkles
• Enlarged pores and blackheads
• Acne and acne scars
• Dull-looking skin complexion
• Uneven skin tone and texture
• Melasma (dark, discolored patches on your skin)
• Superficial sun damage
