Juvederm® is an FDA-approved family of injectable fillers which addresses a variety of patient concerns such as lifting the cheeks, smoothing lines around the mouth, and plumping the lips. The “XC” in Juvederm fillers means that the gel is preloaded with lidocaine, which works to immediately numb the area as the filler is being injected. This helps make the entire process much more comfortable for clients who may be more sensitive to pain from needles.
Juvederm fillers use Vycross, a proprietary technology designed by Allergan Aesthetics. The advantages of Vycross include smoother injections, better ability to create lift and projection, maximal support where needed to achieve optimal aesthetic results and less swelling and bruising for shorter recovery times. Additionally, Vycross technology offers longer-lasting results than previous generations of HA-based gel fillers.
